What more did you expect from the first rule? Rule 1 is the most basic, obvious one but everyone always forgets the basics! So anyway, breathing oxygen is essential because the mitochondria in our cells need it to produce ATP1, an organic chemical required for life. Sounds familiar? Good, I don’t have to explain it more. At any time, in any place, you just need to breathe and you’ll survive.
