In the Wilderness
This is the most accurately ordered criterion for survival. You’ll need shelter first. Shelter is somewhere that you can stay that protects you from external elements. In a drastic environment, you definitely won’t make it past day two without shelter. Water takes second place simply because you can live as long as three days without water. Third is fire. Fire provides warmth, light, can cook food and protect against predators. In some environments, such as the tundra, fire will be your top priority. And last comes food. You might always feel like you’re starving to death after being marooned for three days but as a matter of fact, you can live up to three weeks without food.

In School
Shelter is most crucial because if your school isn’t in a building with adequate facilities that support learning, chances are that you might never attend. Water is the second, as it refreshes you after sport activities and keeps you awake during lessons. Just like the benefits fire can bring, at school, you also need adequate light and temperature. However, you will still be fine if it runs short. Try to recall the most recent time electricity went out in your school. Food though stands last because chances are that you will survive if “you skip a meal; but if you can eat, EAT”. You’ll need lots of energy at school.
