In the Wilderness
This might seems like a weird and unnecessary rule, but it’s actually very important. In any habitat, there are dangerous objects on the ground, such as nettles, thorns or even human waste, nails and broken bottles, etc. All you need is a pair of shoes, they could even be sandals or flip-flops, to avoid serious injury to your feet. A serious foot injury may bleed and the smell of blood could lead wild animals to you, which may result in your death. If you haven’t prepared a pair of footwear, you should try to craft a pair of sandals using tree bark, vines and leaves.

In School
There’s no discussion about this. Your shoes are two of the most necessary items to have when attending school. REMEMBER... to wear shoes, not flip flops. Flip-flops result in as heavy a punishment as going barefoot. Just try to go to school barefoot once. Firstly, you will get a weird look from everyone in the hallway. Secondly, when bullies see you, they might give you a wedgie. Last but not least, when a teacher sees you, it’s off to the principal’s office for you. Oh, and I forgot your parents at home. That can count as extra punishment but you already get the point for why you shouldn’t go to school barefoot.
